Bottega Veneta – Luxury Italian Designer House

Bottega Veneta is the famous Italian fashion designer house well known for its leather handbags and wallets collection. That is why his bags are presented at this blog dedicated to handbags of a luxury brand names.

It was founded in 1966 and today their main office is located in Vicenza. Nowadays Bottega Veneta is a part of famous Gucci Group and more than 140 boutiques with leather handbags of this brand is located all around the world – in Europe, Asia, and North America.

Founders of Bottega Veneta were Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro and in translation from Italian name of brand means “Venetian atelier”. From the first days their main specialisation were leather goods and company even have their unique leather-weaving technique which is used even today.

Big changes were made in the company when in 2001 Bottega Veneta was purchased by Gucci Group. Now Bottega Veneta has it’s own school for training and supporting future generations of leather artisans and leather goods designers.
